Definition
Ritual offering or sacrifice prescribed by Ifá to restore alignment, avert misfortune, or attract blessings.
Purpose of Offering
Ẹbọ is the mechanism for restoring cosmic balance. Whether spiritual, emotional, or physical, when equilibrium is lost, an offering is prescribed by an Odù through divination to realign the client’s destiny.
Types of Ẹbọ
Offerings range from simple acts like leaving a piece of fruit or lighting a candle, to more complex ceremonies involving animals, food, herbs, or specific behavioral changes. Èṣù is always the crucial intermediary who transports the essence of the Ẹbọ to the spiritual realm.
